The Yoshimura R&D team immediately got to work developing the new Yamaha and called our AT2 profile to handle the power and torque of the monstrous 890cc three-cylinder engine.

The AT2 is styled perfectly for the MT-09 and incorporates our exclusive Works Finish, an aggressively styled matte-finished carbon fiber end cap, complemented by a heat shield that adds an aggressive GP tone.

Right away the MT-09 lost 2.7kg by removing the stock system and installing the complete AT2 Race Series system.

With plenty of low-end torque, we focused on getting the horsepower further up the spectrum.

After the development period and the completion of all tests, the AT2 gave the MT-09 a nice 2.7% increase in max HP and a 1.6% increase in max torque.
