To complement Ducati's unique and beautiful fuel tank curves, we have incorporated more ergonomic considerations into this mid-sized masterpiece that upholds Ducati's fine twin-cylinder tradition.

Using 3D printing technology and high-friction soft materials, we address the V2 series' challenge of placing knees and thighs on the tank by filling in the body recess areas and covering as many rider contact points as possible (including body cover parts). This allows riders to better secure their legs comfortably on flat roads or mountain paths, reducing the frequency of sliding forward due to potholes and vibrations.

(The R2 3D woven tank grip features a repeating triangle pattern forming a "surface," with each triangle also forming a hollow triangular pyramid. This structure provides a stable base and a soft surface, resulting in an "active adaptation" feature. When thighs press against it, the tank grip surface conforms to the folds of the pants and the muscles' bulges or depressions, caused by exertion. Additionally, the linear horizontal stripes created by the layered 3D printing on the triangular slopes further enhance thigh grip.)

Beyond anti-slip properties, leveraging R2's professional track experience and top-tier design techniques, we have integrated the core concept of a "rider assistance device" that promotes a seamless connection between rider and machine into the Panigale V2 series. A specially designed deceleration slope at the fairing area provides a final line of defense for enthusiastic riders during heavy braking, preventing loss of control. This rider-assist tank grip offers the ultimate riding experience for owners with unique tastes.
