The R2 3D woven tank pad features a repeated triangular pattern forming a "surface," with each triangle also creating a hollow triangular pyramid. This structure provides a stable base and a soft surface, resulting in an "active adaptation" feature. When thighs press against it, the tank pad surface conforms to the folds of the pants and the muscles' bulges or depressions caused by exertion. Additionally, the linear horizontal stripes created by the layered 3D printing on the triangular slopes further enhance thigh grip.
