The last generation GSX-R1000 L7 boasts the most compact body design in its lineage, yet features an exceptionally large fuel tank. While it doesn't require excessive effort to grip, its shape and anti-slip properties pose challenges for riders of various body types.
Our team aimed to cover as many potential use scenarios as possible during development, allowing users to choose according to their needs. Due to the large OEM tank, riders often encounter challenges with side hanging and elbow resting, making it essential for our team to prioritize minimizing interference with rider posture changes, offering greater freedom, emphasizing anti-slip properties, and fine-tuning riding positions.
The distribution lines between tank pad pieces serve not only as visual enhancements but also as separators for thickness distribution. How riders slide and whether discomfort arises afterward are all within R2's considerations, with each piece's shape indicating its role in aiding riding.
Through tank pads, R2 aims to provide every user with an enjoyable driving experience, allowing them to focus more on riding.
