The mighty Yamaha YZ450F is practically all new for 2023 and ready to inspire new MX champions everywhere.
Let's get straight to it…the stock system on the Yamaha YZ450F was hard to improve on, but we did!
The magic of the right tube diameter, the right length, then our RS-12 was called upon to do the job it was designed to do... perform!
Adding horsepower and torque anywhere on the spectrum to the new YZ450 wasn't easy, but it was accomplished. Maximum horsepower has increased by 8% and maximum torque has increased by an incredible 13%!
The new RS-12 system unlocked some key power in all the right places.
The low-end and mid-range are really improved without disrupting the handling characteristics of the new YZ frame.
Riding with this new added horsepower made testing the new system really fun.
The aggressively shaped, intelligently designed, asymmetrical RS-12 profile maximizes muffler volume which helps manage sound, add horsepower, and provide more clearance for the tire and brake caliper.
Performance improvement
Just like the Works systems used by our Factory Racers, the RS-12 systems use precision machined joints.
The machined joints offer a superior and tight fit for the joints ensuring a better seal between two perfect 360 degree contact surfaces which results in improved system life, fit and performance.
Functional looking matte carbon fiber end cap with industry leading design, innovation and detailing as expected from Yoshimura.
The carbon cap covers an inner cap mounted design that improves durability and makes maintenance easier than other more commonly found a-mount designs in the industry.
The new Precision Taper Fit (PTF) insert ring simplifies the installation and removal of spark and soundproof inserts.
The conical design of the RS-12's tapered muffler body allows the system to be pushed forward thus helping with weight centralization without sacrificing performance
Repack kits, optional inserts and spark arresters are available for all models in the industry.

Warning: When installing the complete exhaust system, it may be necessary to remap the ECU.
NOTE: The package contains the terminal, the manifold, an instruction manual and all the small parts necessary for correct assembly.
