The Austrian 250 engine that is the heart of KTM and Husqvarna is an all-new platform for the 2022 and 2023 bikes.
Our R&D engineers focused on getting the new powertrain to deliver power throughout the rev range.
Now, the RS-12 offers the rider a much broader power curve, adding 2.7% max hp and 2.6% max torque.
Better than the stock version, you bet!
This system and the new one we just introduced for the Austrian 450 models are the first Yoshimura production motocross exhausts to incorporate a resonator on the header and in the muffler.
This new cylinder head resonator unlocks low-end and mid-range power to not only make the new Austrian bikes more powerful, but provides additional overrev.
Aggressively and intelligently designed, the RS-12 asymmetrically shaped muffler maximizes capacity and incorporates a resonance chamber for sound management and increased usable power.
The RS-12's unique profile also provides more tire and brake caliper clearance.

Carbon end cap covers Inner cap mounted design improves durability and makes maintenance easier than other sandwich mount designs more commonly found in the industry
New, patent-pending Precision Taper Fit (PTF) insert ring simplifies installation and removal of acoustic inserts and spark arrestors
The streamlined muffler body inlet design of the RS-12 allows the system to be pushed forward thus aiding in weight centralization without sacrificing performance
