Our goal was to add low-end, over-revving performance to the new 250 engine and… mission accomplished!
On the dyno the new RS-12 TI system adds 2.7% of maximum power and 2.6% of maximum torque, but it's not just about numbers.
On the track the RS-12 puts the power in the right places, adding throttle response and pushing the rev limiter with a less dramatic hit.
Test riders even commented on how our system significantly calmed down the chassis making the bike feel more 'settled'.
This new system is one of the few Yoshimura production motocross exhausts to incorporate a resonator on the header and in the muffler.
The new cylinder head resonator unlocks bottom and mid-range power to not only make the new Austrian bikes more powerful, but provide more connectivity to the rider.
Yoshimura uses only premium titanium alloy tubes imported from Japan.
The use of titanium keeps the system lightweight - 3.58kg and gives it that much sought after 'works' look.
Aggressively and intelligently designed, the RS-12 asymmetrically shaped muffler maximizes capacity and incorporates a resonance chamber for sound management and increased usable power.
The RS-12's unique profile also provides more tire and brake caliper clearance.Adding 5.9% more peak HP and 6.9% more peak torque, this RS-12 has all the makings of what can lead to many podium finishes.
